Job Title: Company Accountant

Salary: Circa £35,000 – £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The Role

We are currently looking to recruit a Company Accountant to work in our Head Office in Sheffield. You will manage the accounting function and produce statutory accounts, management accounts and undertake other financial analysis as required. You will report to the Finance Controller & Company Secretary.

Accountabilities:

Within the role, your responsibilities will include:

• managing the accounting function
• controlling the portfolio management system
• producing quarterly management accounts & group finance returns
• producing statutory accounts
• producing VAT returns and submissions to group taxation
• providing detailed financial analysis for management
• assisting with computer systems management

What we’re looking for?

Applicants for the role will be expected to have the following skills and attributes:

• ACA or CIMA qualification with at least 12 months post qualification experience
• The ability to work flexibly with a strong team working ethic
• Strong communication skills
• A good understanding of Financial Reporting Standards
• Experience of SME accounts
