What You Will Be Doing

Responsible for the day-to-day corporate accounting operations, including accounts payable, treasury and the general ledger. Assist in various supporting capacities in a team environment for preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements. Respond to inquiries received from accounting & finance management, acquisitions, asset management, external auditors or other third-party service providers.

• Responsible for preparation of journal entries including proper supporting documentation.
• Responsible for analysis of corporate entity financials and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Responsible for reconciliation and elimination of intercompany activity.
• Responsible for wire transfer activity and accounts payable for corporate entities.
• Coordinate with lenders and banks to handle debt and cash management activity.
• Assist with the quarter-end consolidation and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
• Assist in compiling various monthly and quarterly auditors’ requests.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and other special projects, as needed.
• Interface with various departments to assist in resolving reconciling items and general accounting issues.
• Assist in the improvement of departmental efficiencies.
• Assist accounting personnel on various projects, as needed.
• Research and gather information for various departments or as directed by management.

What You Need for this Position

BS and/or MS degree in Accounting or related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of previous accounting experience.

Excellent financial accounting and financial reporting experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Real estate experience and working with public companies preferred, but not required.
