Optus Hiring for Finance Manager – Analysis & Reporting Job at Sydney Full Time

Are you ready?

In this fast-paced and business critical role, you will oversee and manage a dedicated team responsible for the day to day management of the Financial Accounting and Reporting within Optus.

Your core focus –

• Administer the Blackline system and oversee collation and review of balance sheet reconciliations prepared by business units;
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual consolidated balance sheet, cash flow statements for submission to Singtel;
• Timely and accurate reporting and analysis of free cash flow for Optus Group; &
• Prepare the regulatory reports for ABS, ACMA, APRA, ASIC etc.

You will be required to deliver improved business support (quality, consistency and speed), and development of an efficient operating model. You will also enhance ways of working for the team and assist and help drive a program of continuous improvement across all aspects of the team’s activities including leveraging the services of the BPO.

Additionally, you will be responsible for creating a high performing team and coaching and developing all reports (either onshore or offshore).

Your key ingredients for success …

• Tertiary qualified in an Accounting / Finance discipline with CA or CPA status;
• Significant experience in a similar Finance Manager role with direct reports;
• Strong working knowledge of Australian and International Accounting Standards and Auditing Standards;
• Highly independent, analytical and able to deal with large volumes of information;
• Advanced working knowledge of SAP4HANA / TM1/PowerBI/ MS Office 365;
• Auditor liaison (central point of contact, review of audit reports, review of management letter);
• Be the key contact for all matters regarding STAI, SOPL, Optus Insurance and NZ Branch accounts, including board reports, statutory accounts and related reporting;
• Proactively identify accounting treatment issues and where possible pre-empt auditing results to redress errors and prevent further impact; &
• Advanced analysis, reconciliation and reporting of financial accounting and treasury transactions experience as gained in a large corporate.
