RPS Group Hiring for Graduate Accountant Job at Fortitude Valley Full Time

RPS is seeking an energetic Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team based in Fortitude Valley on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the role will be responsible for a range of financial reporting tasks to achieve reporting, analytical and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Bank reconciliations
• Assist the treasury function in creating and maintaining central payments across the group
• Assist in reconciling intercompany balances
• Assist in the preparation of cashflow reporting
• Month-end support including processing journals, accruals, and reconciliations
• Profit and Loss variance analysis
• Other ad-hoc analysis
• Involvement in other projects
• Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to ensure accurate processing of accounts
• Contribute to ongoing internal controls and other process improvements;

Qualifications required

• Completed a degree in Accounting or Commerce
• Currently studying or looking to study towards a recognised accountancy qualification
• Sound technology skills including strong excel skills
• Experience in management accounting preferable but not necessary
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and deal with a high volume of work in a tight deadline environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior work ethic along with the capability to build and maintain positive relationships with the team
• Must be residing in Brisbane, QLD
• Authorisation to work full-time in Australia
