Design Interface Manager – London

Working for a consultancy delivering a design package for the railway systems for HS2. Leading and produce all associated interface control documents (ICDs) and registers.

Salary – £80,000 basic (12-month Fixed term contract until 2023)

Locations – London / Milton Keynes / Home based

This is a hybrid model working between Milton Keynes, once or twice a week. London once or twice a week then home based as required by the project.

Role Description

The Resolute Group has been retained to secure the services of a Design Interface Manager. Managing the technical interfaces between contracts and assets for all the design packages within the Designer scope of works for the associated systems package.

You will be responsible for engaging with different stakeholders (Designers, Contractors, Clients, other third parties) to coordinate with the designer’s design managers to ensure all interface requirements are correctly captured and incorporated into the design. Responsible for leading and producing all associated interface control documents (ICDs) and registers as required.

This role would suit a Senior Design Manager or Technical lead with Rail experience interested in being part of HS2. Taking a lead in the design elements of this package of works, focused on ensuring the Interface Control Documents (ICD’s) are produced correctly. Capturing all the interface requirements prior to formal submission to HS2

Working in a hybrid capacity between home, Milton Keynes one day a week and London one day a week. Although a 12 month contract there will be more opportunities following this package of works.

Required Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• Previous experience of handling Design or Interface Management on a large project.
