What we’re looking for

Do you have experience of developing Python libraries? We are looking for an experienced Python programmer to write software to communicate with our embedded technology. If you can you see yourself learning, growing, and succeeding in this exciting position and would relish the opportunity help shape the development of Tessent EA’s ground-breaking silicon IP then we would love to meet you!

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, developing, modifying, and implementing software programming for products (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality timely delivery
• Ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism
• Creating, documenting, and executing software designs which may involve significant re-architecture of important systems, defining and coordinating implementation of wide-reaching impacts
• Technical lead of major projects and influencing the technical direction within one area of a product
• Promoting innovation through the ability to introduce new technology/knowledge into at least one area of a product and to our people
• Providing high-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis
• Providing problem resolution and technical leadership for the group.
• Acting as a technical lead in guiding junior engineers
• Working independently on highly complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgement and technical expertise

What you’ll bring

• Python development experience of scripts, libraries and web frameworks (e.g. django)
• Expertise of test frameworks (e.g. pytest or googletest)
• Virtualisation with containers (e.g. docker or lxc)
• Multi-threaded and multi-core programming experience
• Knowledge of modern CPU architectures
• A proven ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, Java or Java Script
• Linux development experience
• Experience of cloud-based services
