We are looking for a Payroll Officer who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that define ILM.

The Payroll Officer is responsible for performing the payroll processing and related functions for Industrial Light & Magic in a timely, professional and accurate manner.

What You’ll Do

• Process monthly payrolls for ~400 employees in Australia via a hybrid in-house/outsourced managed service arrangement
• Maintain accurate and timely data collection and filing for all employees and all payroll information
• Coordinate with key stakeholders to plan and manage the monthly schedule, and ensure that any revisions during the monthly pay cycle are made within the required timeframe
• Provide advice on technical configuration including for new pay elements, system interfaces, and system conversion projects
• Payroll lead for transition to new payroll vendor (early-mid 2022 TBC) under managed service arrangement, with Workday system integrations
• Prepare monthly accounting journal entries for posting into financial system, including leave accruals and variance analysis

What We’re Looking For

• You are HSC/VCE equivalent and completion of payroll related qualification or courses is an advantage
• You probably have 3-4 years of experience running a similarly sized, multi-state payroll
• Experience using ADP Payforce or similar large payroll software
• Have a high attention to detail and accuracy with Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
• A strong understanding of payroll system configurations and behaviours
• Utmost reliability, confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive payroll information
