LOCATION: London SE1, UK based (hybrid working: 3 days in the office/2 days WFH)
ROLE OVERVIEW:
This role provides dedicated HR Generalist support to two London based Agencies within the Professional Networks of the Omnicom Health Group (OHG) https://www.omnicomhealthgroup.com/. The role reports to the Senior HR Director, Europe, based in London, and has frequent interaction with OHG HR colleagues both in Europe (UK and Spain) and in the US (East Coast).
The Human Resources Manager (HRM) will partner with employees and Management across all levels to deliver pro-active HR solutions meeting business needs, while fostering a climate of trust and commitment. They will work on HR projects and initiatives aligned to agency business objectives and OHG HR strategic goals with a coaching approach and collaborative attitude. These projects include engagement, retention, talent management, learning and development and employee programs such as career development, inclusion & diversity, wellbeing, etc.
Key Responsibilities
HR advice & policy – point of contact for general day-to-day HR inquiries. Provide a confidential communication channel for employees and Senior Management. Provide accurate HR advice to employees and managers based on UK employment law and best HR practice. Overseeing all ER matters.
Talent hiring – partner with the European OHG Talent Acquisition team on hiring activity and collaborate on recruitment related projects per agency needs.
Onboarding – ensure a smooth onboarding and orientation experience for new hires. Guide and coach hiring managers on best onboarding practices.
Talent & Career Management – Partner with managers on career development and growth initiatives, including succession planning and talent retention. Coach employees on career growth and development.
Learning & Development (L&D) – work closely with employees and management to define learning strategies and programs. Partner with the OHG L&D team, based in the US, to support the delivery of learning and development activities. Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
Benefits – advise on staff benefit queries, liaise with Omnicom benefit brokers as required. Oversee the administration of the auto-enrolment company pension scheme.
Payroll – oversee monthly payroll activity for the two agencies, ensuring payroll data is processed accurately. Partner with the agency Finance teams and the Omnicom in-house payroll team on payroll related matters. Responsible for local payroll SOX Audit.
Immigration – strong understanding of current UK Immigration laws and practices relevant to hiring. Liaison with the Omnicom outside UK counsel on immigration
Skills & Experience
Strong HR generalist experience gained in the United Kingdom within the creative industry (advertising/communications/marketing/PR/media).
Experience of a matrix working environment
Experience working for a US owned company and liaising with HR teams in the US.
University degree. A degree or post-graduate certification with specialty in HR and/or CIPD membership are preferrable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of various HR tools and systems.
