The Agency Worx Hiring for CAD Designer at New York, New York Full Time

Our company is a global sourcing company that specialized in the manufacturing and sales of men’s and boy’s apparel. We are looking for a full-time CAD illustrator/apparel designer who enjoys a fast paced, multitask, organized, detail-oriented persons to join our team. They must be able to make prints for shirts for spring and do plaids for fall for shirts and be able to sketch men sportswear

Responsibilities and skills required for this position include:

• Create original prints and graphic design for all in house brands, private label, and exclusive programs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator programs. This process requires extensive hand-drawing and illustration skills. The creative process includes photo manipulation using advanced features in Adobe Photoshop. The creation of textile repeats requires advanced skills in both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as advanced knowledge of textile mill operation and requirements.
• Create original designs for marketing purposes using Adobe Illustrator, all hang tags, labels, and trims uses on garments for all our in-house brands and private label programs.
• Create CAD style body sketches on Adobe Illustrator for all brand, private label, and exclusive programs.
• Translate all CAD designs into production format.
• Receive, document, and approve prints and graphics from factories. Sending comments about colors, visuals, hand feel, and printing methods of printed fabrics to the production team is crucial to ensure that fabrics match original CADs, and that printing quality is good enough for production.
• Process all required design forms and pass all information from design to sales and production.
• Market research for style, print/graphic direction, and create inspiration presentation for sales using a variety of channels. For example, social media, fashion websites, competition brand websites, client’s website, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
• 3+ years related experience
• Ability to function as liaison between departments; excellent communication and analytic skills.
• Detail oriented, extremely organized, and computer literate in Adobe suite; have the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Eye for color, trend, detail, and construction of apparel merchandise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
