We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our HR team as a Talent & Capability Partner in a field-based role.

As our Talent & Capability Partner you will play an important role in supporting the development of team members and the delivery of our strategic talent and capability plans. You will be Responsible for arranging and supporting the delivery of key initiatives that range from facilitating performance/talent reviews, delivering technical workshops, reviewing talent and capability processes to make sure they are working as effectively as possible. Reporting into the Talent & Capability Manager, with regular engagement with the Centre’s of Excellence, the Talent & Capability Partner is key to enabling, supporting and delivering the strategic talent and capability priorities for the wilko business.

Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve;

• Facilitating talent review sessions with stakeholders, developing their knowledge and understanding of the talent framework.
• Working with stakeholders to facilitate the building of career ladders to enable team members to understand career progression options, utilising the skills, behaviours and knowledge framework to support this.
• Developing and managing the internal talent pipeline utilising the HR talent management system to do this – setting up talent reviews and succession plans.
• Coaching and mentor team members to understand what motivates them to be better every day and supporting them to understand different career paths and talent development opportunities available to support their personal development.
• Designing, co-ordinating and facilitating internal development days to support the talent agenda managing the co-ordination of management training programmes across the wilko business area, including the delivery of the technical line manager skills sessions where necessary.
• Actively drive personal development to stay abreast of industry and sector advances to ensure the function has a reputation of being relevant, credible and innovative in building solutions for organisational needs, now and in the future.

For this role we need someone who has a strong knowledge of talent processes and principles including talent management and a good understanding of L&D models and methodologies and are able to bring these to life. You will need to have experience in delivering engaging face to face training, behavioural and technical and also developed diverse talent pools, aligned to a Diversity and Inclusion agenda. Having experience of working with HR systems and is comfortable analysing and manipulating data is also beneficial.
