You will be part of a brand new team establishing the role of Learning and Teaching Support Officers across the Faculty of Science and Engineering. You will be the main point of contact for students in relation to pastoral matters, and to act as a resource for staff within the Faculty with regard to pastoral support procedures and systems. You will assist in coordinating Faculty wide initiatives and activities which support the entire student journey from initial enquiry to alumni. These roles will be instrumental in facilitating the engagement of all students from a wide variety of backgrounds and circumstances.
Day-to-day work will be complex and involve cases that may require interpretation of University/local procedural & policy guidelines and the ability to present such information in a clear and concise way to a variety of audiences. You will work at Faculty level across all four Schools within Science and Engineering and as such will need to build and maintain a network of contacts, internal and external to the University, and acts as an interface between academic staff in the Schools and senior colleagues in central Professional Services Teams.
These roles report directly to the Faculty Student Experience Team Leader and is accountable to the the Head of Education and Student Experience.
