Corporate Finance & Forensic Accounting Executive – Cambridge

My client is Award winning and most respected firms of Chartered Accountants are looking to add an ambitious nearly or newly qualified member to their team in Cambridge within Corporate Finance and Forensic Accounting team. The candidate will have a practice background in general accountancy but now relish the opportunity to move to a faster paced role without the hassle of commuting to London for such a position.

Responsibilities Include:

Corporate Finance:

• Assisting with company valuations
• Carrying out market and buyer research, helping clients with due-diligence and other assistance with the business sale process
• Undertaking price negotiations, debt/equity raising, forecasts, due-diligence and other acquisition services

Forensic Accounting:

• Assisting on a wide range of forensic accounting assignments, covering the full spectrum of litigation support services
• Undertaking technical work and being available to provide technical expertise

General:

• Planning, supervising and reviewing work of more junior staff
• Producing draft bills for approval
• Ensuring technical excellence
• Assisting with internal compliance for areas such as anti-money laundering and client control

Marketing:

• Promoting the firm generally
• Involvement in seminars and other networking activities
• Developing professional relationships with referral sources
• Developing the firm’s services
• Desired skills and experience

We would be keen to speak with auditors or other practice accountants who have some forensic/corporate finance/advisory/project experience, who are looking to expand their horizons into a specialist area.

• Ideally you should either be fully ICAEW/ACCA qualified, or within the last year of your studies for the qualification, with recent experience gained in a UK practice environment.
• Exemplary levels of communication, technical accounting, Microsoft Office (including Excel) and report writing skills are essential, as is a keen, enquiring mind.
