GEOTEK Hiring for Accountant Job at Stewartville, MN Full Time

The Accountant is a key role in a lean Accounting Department with a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual duties including:

· Month-end close procedures including account reconciliations, financial statement prep, and summary of expenses by department

· Account reconciliation and transaction management including Cash, A/R, inventory, prepaid expenses, A/P and Debt/Interest

· Applying customer deposits and track all bank deposits

· Processing checks for vendors and internal expense reports for employees

· Tracking and maintaining fixed assets

· Investigating standard cost variances

· Assisting with inventory accuracy and investigating discrepancies

· Performing inventory costing analyses and application of labor and overhead costs

· Monthly sales tax filings and annual corporate filings in multiple states

· Assisting with documentation and analyses for the year-end audit

· Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred

· Strong computer knowledge, typing speed, and excellent skills in Excel are required

· Excellent communication skills, oral and written, are essential as this position will work with customers, vendors, and colleagues across various departments
Strong attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple requests/projects in a fast paced

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
