HR Manager
We are looking for a stand-alone HR Manager for the UK and EU region for a large global tech company with c. 1,300 employees globally. This role will be supporting the c. 100 employees on site in Exeter and also a small number of Business Development Executives across Europe.
As this is a stand-alone role, you must be able to undertake both the strategic elements of the role to best support organisational goals and also happy to roll up your sleeves and get on with the more operational and administrative parts of the position.
The role is working predominately remotely with one day a week on site in Exeter and the remainder remote. As it’s working with global locations including the US and Australia, there will be some need to work across different time zones and therefore outside of ‘normal office hours’. However you are the manager of your own time and can do so accordingly to suit the demands of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Influence and advise managers on ER, performance management, grievance and disciplinary matters, pay & reward.
Develop new HR processes and policies to support and enable an innovative, fast-paced environment.
Partner with the global HR leadership team to roll out all key people processes working across time zones.
Enable the regional management team to be better leaders and provide coaching on performance management.
Coordinate with centre of excellence teams like recruitment, payroll, L&D to achieve regional HR goals.
Manage recruitment through agencies and direct sourcing.Draft employment agreements for successful candidates, review and approve candidate information in the HR system for seamless onboarding.
Manage HR data using the HCM system, produce reports and analyse to ensure accurate audit trails are maintained.
Person Specification
An experienced HR manager who is able and happy to work both strategically and operationally.
Excellent employment law knowledge and adept at resolving complex Employee Relations issues.
Recruitment experience and a background of having worked in high tech or professional services a preference.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, credible and able to influence at all levels.
Strong administrative skills with an eye for detail and a knack for accuracy.
Be able to travel to the Exeter office at least once a week to provide in-person support to staff.
Strong business and HR acumen, including ability to diagnose and analyse problems and drive appropriate solutions and business strategies.
