Development Company Hiring for Accounting Manager Job at Chico, CA Full Time

Commercial Real Estate company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

This position will serve as the accounting lead for the firm as well as providing Finance support in key areas.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the CEO as well as project coordinators on various projects, audit plans and schedules, internal financial reporting. The chosen candidate will have hands on responsibility of the general ledger and reconciliation functions as well perform the below duties.

Accounting & Financial Functions

• Closing Process – Oversight of monthly/quarterly/year-end closing process
• Quality Control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Cash Tracking and Forecasting for Group H, Developer, and or Projects
• Management of key financial systems (QuickBooks, Online Banking, etc.)
• Preparation of monthly and annual Financial Reporting across multiple ownership entities
• Chart of Accounts and project codes maintenance
• Job costs of real estate projects
• Overseeing all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other cash transactions
• Maintaining a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and controls
• Managing required payments to 3rd parties (vendors, etc.) and intercompany transactions.
• Managing the expense reporting process, including analyzing invoices and expense reports and charging expenses to accounts and cost centers
• Capability to correspond with key 3rd party vendors
• Protect entity values by keeping proprietary information confidential
• Property management CAM reconciliation as needed for in house Property Manager
• Helpful but not required construction loan processing

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Fluency and comfort with key software programs is crucial. High proficiency in QuickBooks is a critical requirement as are strong skills with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
• Must be a team player who excels at communication and working well with others.
• Position is full-time but will consider part-time for exceptional candidates.
• Job requires working from Chico, CA office during normal work hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
