What we’re looking for

We are looking for an ambitious individual looking to progress their finance career within a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone that is eager to learn and grow.

How we work together

We are a small, rapidly growing team and you would report directly into an experienced Financial Controller and work alongside the Management Accountant. We are a collaborative team tackling problems and creating meaningful impact across the entire business.

What success looks like for this role in 12 months

Made headway in your accountancy qualification including completing a couple of exams. Identified and implemented process improvements including automation of transactions. Developed relationships with key suppliers and be able to handle queries autonomously.

What you’ll do

Ultimately be responsible for managing the accounts payable process from invoice processing, approval and preparation of payments runs

Review employee expenses and credit card expenditure

Process payments and receipts in the accounting system and complete bank and credit card reconciliations

Month end support including preparing payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations

Liaising with the sales team on Sales Order Form details, credit control, raising invoices and credit notes

Project support to the Financial Controller and Management Accountant across audit, business partnering and systems improvement

Requirements

It’s the perfect role for you if you have:
1-2 years’ of finance experience

Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

The ability to manage high volumes of work and strong organisational skills

Great communication skills

Experience using Excel

Already started or ambition to study towards an accountancy qualification

Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Accountancy or finance degree

Double-entry knowledge

Worked with Xero or Stripe

Have a general interest in books, reading and always learning new things

£28,000 – £30,000
