Accounting Manager

Description:
The position is currently accountable for the office, administrative, accounting, and some HR duties for the company. It includes cash management and production of daily to monthly financial reconciliations, postings, and reporting, the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls. Additionally, this position is responsible for processing and managing Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions.

Job Purpose:
Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Supports company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff.

Duties:

• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
• Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
• Maintains office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Maintains office staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
• Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors.
• Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
• Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
• Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
