Siemens Healthineers has an excellent opportunity to join our IT team at our Diagnostic Manufacturing site in Llanberis as an Applied Cyber Security Degree Apprentice.

Starting in September 2022, this three-year Apprenticeship will provide you with real work-based skills, knowledge and a BSc degree qualification to kickstart your career.

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

• Assess the security of IT Networks available
• Set up and maintain new users according to site protocol,ensuring they have access to required application systems
• Ensure technical documents and site records are up to date
• Provide high-quality, first-line technical support for all staff, via multiple communications methods
• Troubleshoot IT problems and identify solutions
• You will also have the opportunity to develop your business competences and develop project management skills

To apply, you should be studying towards or have successfully completed A Levels or equivalent and possess some knowledge or experience in IT or digitalisation. You will also need:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• To be a team player
• An understanding of PC operating systems and software and installation, maintenance and repair of operating systems, networks, and programmes
• Competence in Microsoft Platform applications
• The ability to use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions
• A strong interest in Cyber Security, and the ability to start in September 2022 with a view to completing a 3 year degree apprenticeship.
