DXC Technology Hiring for Junior IT Technician – Armidale NSW Job at New South Wales Full Time

Job Description:

Great opportunity for a Junior IT professional to enter the IT market, with a view for a longterm career with DXC Technology.

You will be responsible for providing IT support to local and remote clients based in Armidale, NSW, contribute to the delivery of technical solutions to clients including looking after printers, patching, hardware and software fixes, rebuilds and in a predominately windows environment, as well as assisting with everything else IT related. There will also be some support of mobile phones with senior staff. In this role you will be engaging with assisting security, messaging and network configuration assistance, it is a role suited for some one that can work autonomously.

Responsibilities:

• Providing Customers with an overview of installation activity, site-specific information, and access to appropriate contacts.
• Handle Customer-relation problems promptly and appropriately, provide guidance, escalate issues according to established procedures.
• Use proactive monitoring procedures/tools to identify problem prevention opportunities.

• Maintain pooled equipment inventory for on and off-site project support, including maintenance logs
• Provide timely and descriptive reports of equipment malfunction and descriptive reports of equipment repair, mitigation and work arounds
• Foster working relationships with all service-related vendors. (internal and external)

• Ensure appropriate paperwork flow and work assignment

• Ability to configure, evaluate, upgrade, repair, test and troubleshoot quickly under pressure

• Thorough knowledge of administrative or technical practices Proficient Field Technical Support skill set.

• Ability to manage complex Customer problems.
• Perform maintenance repair and system overhauls as a matter of routine (like modular swaps and unit replacements).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams

Applicable Education and Experience:

• Ability to obtain baseline clearance Assistance can be provided to the right applicant but you MUST be an Australian citizen
  

• Working experience supporting customers’ PC environments with an interest in learning more
• Minimum Vocational/Diploma/ Associate Degree (technical field) with 1-2 years of working experience in related fields or Degree holder with 1-2 years relevant working experience

Preferable Certifications:

• A+ Certification, CompTIA, N+ Certification, PC or higher
