Store Manager

$16 – $20/hr with bonuses *Wage is dependent on level of experience

VRKADE is looking for an experienced manager to join our management team as we grow here in Nanaimo. As Manager you will be responsible for store operations and customer experience, assisting the Owners in maintaining high standards of quality in all aspects of the business and helping to grow VRKADE as a top spot for entertainment in Nanaimo. You will have the opportunity of assisting and interacting with our customers with a focus on creating a fun and memorable virtual reality experience.

Responsibilities include…

• Participation in creating business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.

• Leading development of marketing initiatives and arranging promotional material and in-store displays.

• Responding to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.

• Preparing deposits and maintaining accurate financial records

• Helping to create and maintain a positive and healthy work environment for staff

• Being knowledgeable about our products, experiences and all policies and procedures.

• Assisting customers with their VR experience and troubleshooting various technical issues

• Maintaining equipment and sanitation standards

• Setting up bookings and answering the phone

• Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and organization

• Delivering excellent, energetic service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

What we are looking for…

• Flexible availability

• Able to work alone for long periods of time and be self-motivated

• Have a prior general knowledge of computers ( video game experience an asset but not necessary)

• Have exceptional social and communication skills, be adaptable and have a desire to learn.

• Friendly and hospitable personality with a positive, enthusiastic attitude.

• Interest in social media marketing

• Previous experience in general management is a must.
