GFD Hiring for Data Analyst at Toronto, ON Full Time

POSITION PROFILE

The Data Analyst role will build and develop within the Data Analytics team at Globalfaces Direct. This role will initially relate to the managing and tracking of donor data and reporting around our F2F fundraising unit (to internal and external stakeholders); over time this role can expand and move into a number of core functions, including:

Analyzing large data sets to procure insights and operational improvements for both clients and employees;

Choosing and developing Business Intelligence software and processes to improve operational efficiencies;

Developing industry leading reporting around key issues that affect the not-for-profit fundraising industry;

Supporting business development strategy (i.e., growth strategy)

The Data Analyst will report directly to the VP, Sales Operations & Data Analytics and has a core role on this very important GFD team.

What You Will Do at GFD

Work within and build Excel templates that track significant internal and client data

Analyze tracked information towards producing key client metrics

Support the invoicing process by providing the relevant donor acquisition data

Keep an eye out for and consistently focus on internal process improvement and skill set development

Work closely with Head of Department to support in solving problems and create efficiencies within the teams deliverable and objectives.

Assist with other data dependent initiatives within the business.

What You Bring to GFD

Your Experience

2-4 year’s working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst,

Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development and data mining

Your Skills, Competencies, Knowledge & Abilities

Experience in data models and reporting packages

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail

Ability to work independently and partner effectively with others to achieve desired business results.

Willingness to learn new skills and work in a fast paced, frequently changing environment.

Your Technical skills

Advanced level knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and Google Suite (required).

Demonstrated experience with Tableau or PowerBI (preferred but not required).

Ability to learn and work in multiple systems simultaneously.

Understanding of statistical analysis

Technical aptitude to learn and apply new applications and software programs.

Your Education

Completion of post-secondary studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related programs, and/or

Combination of education and experience
