This role is a remote opportunity in the UK only.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The finance team is responsible for the financial management of Beamery across 3 countries (UK, US and Germany). The Junior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the maintenance and integrity of account ledgers.
The Junior Accountant will report to the Finance Director and represents a great opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of a finance department in a rapidly growing organisation.
We are looking for someone who is resourceful, bright, proactive, a go-getter, passionate about what they do and works well both independently and as a part of a team.

Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain the general ledger, post journals, complete month end tasks and reconcilations and ensure smooth finance operations across all Beamery subsidiaries
• Maintain reconciliation of key accounts including banks, credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepayments, accruals, debt, other liabilities, deferred income, fixed assets, etc.
• Manage Accounts Payable process across all entities; this includes invoice processing, matching against POs, communication with department heads to seek approvals, payment runs, employee expenses review and processing, credit card payments, etc.
• Manage Accounts Receivable process across all entities; this includes sales invoice issuance, customer communication, managing and maintaining customer portals for invoicing, liaison with account executives in regards to closed deals and any follow ups, maintaining billing schedule and aged debtors report, etc.
• Manage inter-company transactions and reconcilitations
• Prepare Quarterly VAT Return for UK
• Liaising with HR/Marketing/Legal departments
• Assist with the year end audit and statutory accounts process
• Support the Finance Director and Financial Controller with various ad-hoc tasks.
• Support the development of finance functions and processes and assist in testing of ERP system (NetSuite) implementation project

What you’ll need to be successful:

• 2 years+ accounting experience in a similar role
• Part qualified either CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA
• Forensic attention to detail
• Effective communication skills
• Highly organised and self-motivated
• Proactive attitude – ability to take initiative to get things done
• Strong Excel skills
• Be motivated with an eye for process improvement

Desired Skills but not Essential:

• Good quality degree in relevant discipline
• Experience with Xero, NetSuite and SFDC
