Summary of Role

We are looking for an experienced Piping Design Engineer to help with design and deployment of Enersion’s Tri-Generation systems. The ideal candidate has previous work experience in leading and managing engineering efforts for piping systems and process design. A successful candidate will be responsible for major project direction decisions and be working closely with our Design & Manufacturing Engineers on deployment and commissioning of systems.

Enersion offers flexible working hours with a hybrid model combining on-site and remote working, however the candidate must be located in Canada.

Job Responsibilities

• Developing specifications for: Process and Utility piping, Piping insulation, hangers and supports, Piping Fabrication and Post installation Procedures – for utility systems, HVAC heating/cooling water systems and plant steam systems
• Selecting and sourcing materials of construction for piping, insulation, and related components
• Ensuring code compliance
• Develop AutoDesk Plant 3D specifications and project databases based on engineering and client specifications
• Manage AutoDesk Plant 3D models from start up to project completion
• Manage development and production of material take-offs, lists, and isometrics generated from AutoDesk Plant 3D models
• Ensure all Plant 3D deliverables meet Enersion and client specifications and quality expectations
• Coordinate overall planning of 3D models with other disciplines and project layout lead
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or similar
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial projects
• Experienced in the design, 3D modeling and 2D drafting of piping systems to ASME and CSA standards and codes
• Exposure to on-site construction and commissioning of projects & systems
• Experience in dealing with Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) is beneficial
