POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, applies principles of accounting to complete monthly journal entries, reconciliations and support the financial close. Responsible for the computation and timely payment of all contractual tax obligations. Supervise and oversee Staff Accountant I and ll. Manages daily banking and treasury functions, sales and property tax filings including analysis and pursuit of potential Wayfair licenses and system setup, fixed asset and depreciation management, and annual budget process. Assists with monthly financial statement preparation and analysis, and annual financial statement audit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide leadership to Staff Accountants ensuring all duties are completed timely and accurately

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of company tax obligations including sales, use, and property

• Monitor sales tax exposure and manage additional filings requirements in additional states as needed (Wayfair)

• Oversight of daily and monthly bank reconciliations

• Responsible for timely reconciliation of the John Deere statement, including resolution of aged items

• Manage fixed assets – recording, removing, reconciling and processing of monthly depreciation

• Manage/prepare/post month-end and year-end closing items including journal entries

• Budget – participate in strategic planning, revenue/expense forecasting, creating, distributing and collecting budget templates (Excel, SharePoint), making changes and uploading into EQUIP

• Preparing and filing annual 2290 FET returns

• Monthly investment statement reconciliation

• Monthly and quarterly account reconciliation

• Assist Controller with external annual audit

• Assist management in analysis of financial reports and information

• Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures

• Other duties as assigned by CFO and Controller

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Back-up for outgoing ACH and wire payments

• Back-up for daily deposit, tills, and posting of customer payments

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business· 5-10 years experience in professional accounting role· 3-5 years supervisory experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Knowledge of Generally Accepting Accounting Principles· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products· Commitment to excellent customer service and teamwork· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.

Compensation: $95,000 – $115,000 DOE
