Tutor Manager: Director of Tutor Development and Operations

For 23 years, our staff and tutors has been helping students through one-to-one tutoring improve their confidence and grades, thereby releiving stress related to academics along the way.

What you’ll do all day:

• Oversee our team of 120 educators
• Recruit new tutors (place and manage Indeed ads as well as referrals)
• Conduct group and one-to-one interviews as well as teach backs
• Onboard and train new tutors
• Oversee paperwork such as tax forms, contracts, background checks, and reference checks.
• Provide monthly oversight of salaried tutors in terms of meeting weekly benchmarks
• Be contact person for tutor issues (administrative and education related)
• Give regular feedback to tutors about their performance and meeting rhythm
• Coordinate monthly professional development with marketing manager
• Help to match tutors and students within daily huddle
• Issue yearly contracts and raises
• Create and execute system for tracking frequency of sessions
• Create and oversee performance scorecard for each tutor
• Coordinate and oversee summer programs
• Assist director with special projects as needed

Requirements:

Four-year ollege degree

Three years’ experience in human resources and experience managing others

Experience in the field of education
