ATA Services, Inc., is working with The Vermont Cannabis Control Board (CCB) to hire an Accounting Manager to standup and support a fully functioning Business Office to support its programs and licensing initiatives. This includes all major accounting and bookkeeping functions. This position will also assist in creating the business processes and best practices in these areas.
This person will assist the Director of Operations in setting up a full range of services including developing financial workflows for the payment processing module of the licensing application. This position will draft documented process steps for the Business Office Manual and will be the primary author for all written procedures and business processes relating to finance.
Accounts Receivable
This position will assist the Director of Operations in creating and documenting the business process for all funds received.
Accounts Payables
The Business Office will create a paperless AP process as well as documented processes for staff.
Asset Inventory
Following the SoV’s guidelines, this position will assist the Director of Operations in drafting the business process for acquiring, documenting, recording assets in VISION as well as providing end of year reporting to F&M.
Self-Assessment of Internal Controls
Using SoV’s Guide for Internal Controls, this position will assist Director of Operations in creating a plan for reporting to the Department of Finance and Management.
Contracts
This position will draft the business process for acquiring and processing contracts.
End of Year Processing
This position will assist the Director of Operations in preparing action steps to ensure that Year End Closing steps are outlined for FY22.
Performance Measures
Where applicable, this position will also help to create and include performance goals, baselines and safeguards all business office procedures and written documentation.
Data
Where applicable, this position will help the Director of Operations identify where financial data can be captured from Programs.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
In depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Working knowledge of cost allocation practices and procedures
Working knowledge of administrative practices.
Working knowledge of administration and compliance monitoring.
Working knowledge of computerized financial management information systems.
Working knowledge of computer applications to programs management and grant administration.
Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate accounting problems.
Ability to develop checkpoints to maintain over-all integrity of the financial system.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
