ZIM Hiring for Assistant Accountant Job at St Leonards Full Time

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our team in Sydney.

you will ensure accurate and efficient accounting services are provided by all departments and is responsible for reporting activities of the ZIM Integrated shipping services Financial Department.


Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly assigned journal postings and general ledger account reconciliations
• Preparation of weekly cash reports and planned invoices
• Assist with the preparation of audit files and assistance during the interim and year-end audits
• Process any urgent receipt of customers payments in the accounting systems as directed by the reporting manager
• Process any urgent vendor invoices in the accounting systems as directed by the reporting manager
• Assist Finance manager on SAP system implementation project
• Assist with the ZIM monthly reporting.
• Proactively work as part of the ZIM Integrated shipping organisation to assist other team members and departments to achieve the organisational goals and objectives
• Communicate to all internal and external stakeholders, including ATO and state tax authorities
• Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Financial Analyst /Finance manager

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting functions
• SAP System experience (desirable)
• Intermediate to advanced excel skill and high level of MS computer literacy
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken
• Ability to work towards a deadline
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• A desire to foster and work within a team committed to service
