As Business Systems Analyst, Central Projects, you would play a key role in GeoComply’s success by facilitating and capturing system requirements for complex multi-team projects, such as new products and features, security or performance enhancements. It requires technical proficiency as well as an eager attitude, professionalism, and solid communication skills.
You would be accountable for all stages of requirements elicitation, including stakeholders identification, requirements gathering, confirmation with technical leads and architects, supporting developers and QAs throughout the development cycle and validating requested features in Production upon delivery.
What You Will Be Doing
Requirements gathering
Identify all teams and stakeholders required for the project
Organize, conduct and document requirements gathering sessions
Capture business and technical requirements
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Create supporting diagrams
Review and confirm technical requirements with technical leads and architects
Ensure that requirements guarantee geolocation compliance by forecasting and testing all potential vulnerabilities
Ensure high quality and completeness of requirements breakdown into development, QA and delivery tasks and test cases
Ensure highest quality of requirements across all teams
Capture estimates and assist the project manager with scheduling the project
Establish good working relationships and communication channels with applicable 3rd parties
Project Execution
Closely monitor and coordinate requirements implementation across all teams
Promptly address questions from business, development, QA and delivery teams throughout the development cycle
Immediately communicate potential risks, production issues and delays to the project manager, the team, peers and the management
Assist the project manager in monitor estimates and time tracking
Project Rollout
Organize and conduct User Acceptance Testing in Staging and Production environments
Support the project manager in planning and executing the project rollout
Validate requested functionality and user experience in Production environment
Write and maintain user documentation, provide help desk support and train users
Analyze critical production incidents and work with the project manager on resolving them as soon as possible, mobilizing relevant personnel
Provide incident details to stakeholders
About You
BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
3+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst on high-complexity technical projects
2+ years experience in a hands-on technical role, such as Software Engineer, QA, etc.
Fluent English, excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid experience in diagramming using Visio, Draw.io, etc.
Experience preparing functional requirements using Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with different stakeholders such as clients, development SMEs and executive management, across different time zones
