Accounting Manager

BGTM LLC, DBA: Moss Enterprises founded in 1969 is the dominant progressive education technology supplier in the Upper Midwest. We supply technical education equipment, curriculum materials, and technical support, and staff development services to students, teachers, administrators, and industrial manufacturers. We support Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Our main office is located in Johnston, Iowa.

Moss Enterprises is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team.

Duties/Responsibilities

Responsible for preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.

Responsible for production of monthly financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

Responsible for working with accounting firm for tax planning throughout the year. Responsible for preparation of quarterly tax reports

Responsible for day to day accounting duties such as invoicing, account receivable collections, payments, journal entries & payroll

Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Support sales team by reviewing quotes and submitting purchase orders

Make recommendations to business stakeholders

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Three or more years or more of related experience required.
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
