About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Finance Officer to join our Rents & Service Charges team in Oldham on an 18-month fixed term contract basis.

Reporting into the Rents & Service Charge Supervisor and working within the service charge team, your role will be to deliver an effective service charge accounting service across Guinness to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Review social, shared owner and fair rents in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, liaising with operational teams as required.

Deliver accurate and timely service charge estimates and statement of accounts for all service charges, liaising with operational teams as required.

Monitor actual performance of service charges against estimates, analysing variances and taking corrective action, escalating issues as appropriate.

Contribute to the development and delivery of plans and timetables that ensure service is delivered effectively.

Exercise internal controls, highlight errors and take action to rectify them where necessary

What we’re looking for
We’re a customer-focussed organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You’ll not only be have previous experience with working in a rents & service charge or finance environment, but you’ll also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of reviewing and analysing financial information and reporting on results.
• Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
• Proven customer service experience.
• Excellent oral and written communications.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Essential Qualifications:

• Level 2 Maths and English or equivalent
