Resolute Elevator Hiring for Corporate Controller Job at Burlington, NC Full Time

CORPORATE CONTROLLER reports directly to the owner of the company and is responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial management of the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Timely and accurate monthly financial statement preparation
• Managing A/R, A/P, Purchasing, and Invoicing.
• Responsible for cash management
• Preparing and filing weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly payroll and financial reports
• Administering Employee Benefits Programs
• Assisting owners with budgeting and making financial decisions
• Ensuring sound accounting practices and strong internal controls are in place
• Providing C.P.A. with year end financial statements for tax return preparation
• Working with the company financial team to create policies and procedures
• Maintaining financial records and system processes
• Managing company insurance policies and renewals for G/L, W/C, Property Coverages, Commercial Auto

Required Skills and Abilities:

• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Knowledge of construction accounting
• Attention to detail
• Good understanding of finance
• Strong organization and project management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, primarily Excel
• Proficient in QuickBooks Pro Desktop
• Knowledge of job costing

Education and Experience

• 4 year Accounting Degree/Business Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years Accounting Experience
• Construction Accounting experience preferred
• Working knowledge of HR policies and procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
