Role Description:

Responsibilities:
Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment and Observability tools.
Prepare, coordinate, and execute release deployments.
Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent future incidents.
Update and improve the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline.
Maintain infrastructure and process documentation.
Automate, simplify, and enable the scalability of our infrastructure and processes.
Build and maintain internal and client-facing application environments.
Build and maintain infrastructure as a code.
Administer software like issue tracking systems, etc.
Interface with Account Strategists, QA, and Dev teams.
Requirements:
Experience running production applications in AWS.
Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the LAMP stack.
Expert scripting in one or more of bash, python, Perl, awk, etc.
Deep Git knowledge: developing custom hooks, merging across branches, implementing, and enforcing workflows.
Understanding of popular branching strategies, such as GitFlow, GitHub Flow, GitLab Flow, etc.
Experience with configuration management tools (we use Ansible and Terraform).
Experience working in Agile development and continuous integration teams.
Experience with build/release tools – bamboo, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
Familiarity with deployment approaches such as Blue/Green, Canary, and/or Rolling deployment.
Experience with hypervisors, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Database experience with MySQL or PostGreSQL.
Familiarity with the concept of distributed systems and limitations.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity.
Nice-to-have:
Experience with AWS Lambda and Serverless applications.
Experience with Observability Platforms: New Relic, Sentry, or any other platforms.
Experience with PHP/Laravel and Composer.
Experience with single-page JavaScript front ends, Angular, React, and webpack.
Familiarity with ORM, such as Eloquent.
Familiarity with other persistent solutions, such as Redis and/or Elasticsearch.
