Finance Assistant
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Salary Range: £18,462 to £20,929 per annum (YMT Grade 2)
Hours: 37 hours per week, worked over 5 days

Your new role
We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team to maintain the sales ledger and administration of our systems. You will be responsible for generating invoices, undertaking credit control, bank transactions and posting receipts on to our finance system. You will also be involved in providing general accounting and administrative support for the finance department.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be qualified to AAT level 3 or studying towards an equivalent qualification, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel in particular, and you will have knowledge of Sales Ledger and EPOS systems. You will have previous experience of working with Finance and EPOS systems, along with experience of detailed reconciliations between multiple systems. With excellent communication and customer care skills, you will be able to train our staff on Finance processes and procedures. You will also need a flexible attitude towards performing tasks and providing cover for colleagues where necessary.

The role will be based in our York city centre office 5 days per week with flexibility to balance time in the office with working from home.
