An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Administrator to join the City of Boroondara’s People, Culture and Development Team. The role is ideally suited to someone who is looking to work in a dynamic HR team, with high volume people transactions and wants to be part of a people team transformation as we replace our manual processes with new HR technology over the coming 12 – 18 months.

About the role
Reporting to the PCD Operations and Systems Lead, and together with a small team, you will be responsible for providing a customer centric, contemporary and compliant HR administrative service across the employee life cycle.
Key responsibilities will include management of recruitment and onboarding administration with a focus on the employee experience; supporting the management of our contingent (contractor) workforce in Comensura Platform; management of a busy PCD Inbox that provides great exposure and learning to a range of HR Change requests and the opportunity to resolve people issues and management of parental leave, higher duties and other employment related changes.
Additionally, you will support the broader PCD team as needed inclining providing financial administration support with regards to the PCD budget and running of reports.
What will you bring to the role?
To be considered for this position you will need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a fast paced, high volume People team with an employee based of 1000 + employees. You will need to have good attention to detail, excellent written and communication skills and enjoy working in a highly collaborative team environment.
You will have excellent time management skills and can multi-task and meet tight deadlines that help us achieve our desire to improve the employee experience of all interactions that come into the PCD Operations Team. You will also need to have demonstrated experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements and be able to quickly gain working knowledge of our employment conditions and how they are applied throughout the business. You will have comprehensive computer skills across the Microsoft Office range of applications, competent with excel and good working knowledge of HRIS and other people systems.

Employment Requirements:

Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
In accordance with requirements, all local government employees must be fully vaccinated from 26 November 2021 onwards to perform work outside of their place of residence. Appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to provision of evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
