Software Engineer Calibration
Job Summary:
Our client in Kanata, ON Canada, is looking for a Software Engineer Calibration. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
As a SYNC Full stack WEB HMI Embedded SW the candidate will be involved in full lifecycle of Software Development on company SYNC system. Developers will be responsible for creating UX Elements (screens, widgets, etc.) and Application software that allows the user to interact with features such as navigation, media, entertainment, phone, voice, and vehicle settings. Responsibilities:
Develop next generation applications for company’s SYNC infotainment system.
Create proof of concepts for next generation infotainment systems.
Develop reusable modules
Participate in system design, documentation, and testing to deliver a best-in-class infotainment system
Integrate APIs / SDKs that provide services for best-in-class navigation applications
Basics:
Solid understanding of JavaScript and CSS
Experience with React and Redux JavaScript frameworks
Experience with build tools including Webpack, Docker or Jenkins
Experience developing HMI software on infotainment or mobile platforms
Experience with unit-testing and mock frameworks
Must be willing to travel
3-5 years of Software Development experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Preferred:
Familiarity with Agile development processes
Multi-process, multi-tasking or multi-threaded based applications
Embedded operating systems (Linux, QNX, or Android)
Experience developing software on QNX OS based platforms
Automotive product development process and quality experience (i.e., A-SPICE, CMMI, FMEA, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with communication protocols: CAN, TCP/IP, USB, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and/or Wi-Fi
Proficiency with revision control including: Git, Subversion, or equivalent
Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
