Senior/Principal Structural Engineer

£42,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)

This role is for a Senior/Principal Structural Engineer to join an SME-type triple-office Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Liverpool City Centre reporting only to the office Director and be their no.2 managing a host of projects across a range of sectors including Education and Healthcare as well as mixed-use Commercial office buildings and some retail work. The office is located in the city centre and near to Liverpool’s Albert Dock. They also have offices in both Manchester and Scotland.

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone either close to gaining or recently Chartered who is looking for more responsibility or see themselves as a leader with good people skills and the ability to help manage the office.

The right Senior/Principal Structural Engineer will have at least 8 years’ UK experience working to either UK standards or Eurocodes and experience across a range of materials including concrete, masonry, timber and steel and also have at least some experience doing survey work.

Salary will obviously vary depending on experience but will go as high as £55,000 for the right candidate. The company is actually an employee ownership trust with staff bonuses being paid on top of salary occasionally based on company performance.

Other benefits include a 5% employer pension contribution against a 3% personal contribution and professional subscriptions will also be paid on your behalf by the company.
