Florida State Board of Administration Hiring for OPS – Accounting Clerk Job at Tallahassee, FL Full Time

• Prepare various reconciliations for public and private assets
• Year-end financial statement processes
• Run and analyze General Ledger reports in PeopleSoft Financials

and custodian bank reports in NEXEN (master custodian bank
reporting website)

• Run queries in Bloomberg for securities information as needed
• Prepare various accounting worksheets and schedules
• Preparation of Journal Vouchers (JVs)
• Print Final JV covers from PeopleSoft Financials and scan JVs into

Application Xtender document retention system

• Assist with updating department procedures
• Draft correspondence and schedule conference rooms for meetings
• Other duties assigned by the Director of Accounting

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field from an accredited college or university, or three years of related experience involving reconciliations and application of generally accepted accounting principles and administrative support or any combination of education and/or experience equal to the minimum requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and governmental accounting
• Ability to apply accounting principles and procedures to work assignments
• Ability to prepare reconciliations and make appropriate recommendations based upon the findings
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, manage projects and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to learn new skills in a dynamic work environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)
