The Role

We are looking for a skilled software developer to add to our cross-functional product team. You will be helping to build, extend, and maintain a platform for visualising building models within detailed 3D environments. The application is built within the Unity game engine, so development is primarily in C#. Whilst Unity experience is welcome, our primary focus is on good programming skills and practices and developing for a lasting piece of software.

Responsibilities

• Working with the other software developers to architect and shape code that will form a scalable and extendable platform.
• Developing and integrating features that add to the user experience for the application.
• Reviewing code from other developers and challenging yourself to produce high quality work.
• Writing performant and reliable code, including unit tests.
• Participating in Agile development processes, including providing and acting upon feedback.
• Communicating with all levels of staff within the team verbally and in writing (including documentation).

Requirements

• Knowledge of C# or a lower-level language like C or C++.
• Experience integrating with existing solutions and architectures.
• Well-developed debugging skills.
• 3+ years of experience working in software development.
• University degree or equivalent qualification in a technical field.
• Experience with version control software, preferably Git.
• Understanding of software development cycles and terminology.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with Unity.
• Understanding of rendering pipelines and shader programming.
• Experience profiling applications.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
