Description

SAIC is seeking a IT Lab Manager for its NAVAIR Aviation Logistics Environment (ALE) Product Line Systems and Software Support Services for the V-22 Osprey. This position is remote with the expectation of occasionally attending meetings at the SAIC office in San Diego, CA.

• Responsible for the IT platform (servers, etc.) for the CAMEO and RIC software and will provide oversight and guidance for all lab responsibilities. Candidate will manage both the San Diego, CA and PAX River, MD labs
• The position will be a mixture of hands on IT Systems Administration (Windows Servers, Linux Servers) and oversight/management of two five employees (one employee in each of the labs – San Diego, Pax River)
• Oversee and guidance of server installations and configurations in the lab
• Provide cyber support to the cybersecurity team
• Creates and maintains checklists for building of CAMEO systems in coordination with SE, development and leads CAMEO testing/scanning efforts
• Responsible for CM, VRAM Management, perform network monitoring, reporting, and testing for LAN, VLAN, WIFI, etc
• Support CSU/ISU efforts
• Monitor and maintain system performance, recommend changes and upgrades
• Perform system backups for future recovery and ensure security through access controls
• Develop Security Policies/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Other Documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 12 + years’ experience as an IT Project Specialist / Systems Administrator
• 5+ years’ experience as an IT Lab Lead
• Top Secret Clearance (or Secret with SSBI)
• Security+ CE certification
• Systems Administration (both Windows Server and Linux)
• Virtualization and Cloud experience
• Information Assurance – understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Understanding of application and OS security, virus scanning, and patching in an RMF environment

Desired

• Managing servers that support Big Data applications (data analytics, data science, IOT, etc.)
• Prior DoD experience

Target salary range: $150,001 – $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
