Your Role and Responsibilities

Candidates must:
Have graduated no earlier than 2020, and will be graduated before the February 14th start date
Live near Stellarton, NS in order to work on site up to 50 – 75% of the time
Be willing to work in the lab in Stellarton for at least 9 months
After the Stellarton lab is complete your permanent position will be based out of the IBM Bedford office
Have an Associate’s Degree, College Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree by date of employment
Exception: This program does not accept MBA or PhD candidates/graduates
Have no more than 2 years of full-time professional related work experience
Be eligible to work in Canada without current or future needs for visa sponsorship
Quality Assurance Software Testing:
Software Testers work closely with our development teams on to ensure the functionality of what’s been created and to ensure it aligns with the client specifications, they may also be connecting with the client to ensure functional specifications are being implemented through technical requirements.

iGNITE Tester Roles & Responsibilities:
You will track defects by identifying any bugs in the software and problem solve to make sure it is resolved successfully
You will cross reference data by looking at databases & repository to evaluate and understand user interface documents
You will translate business requirements into manual or automated test scripts
You will program and script manual tests to run in an automated setting
You’ll work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers.
You’ll enable continuous deployment and availability by designing, developing and creating automated frameworks, processes and test cases based on functional and end-user requirements.
You’ll build and manage testing environments, assisting in debugging application issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
You have the ability to work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers
You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing and implementing solutions to complex technical issues
You have experience using a diverse set of technical tools such as coding, scripting and using databases
You have SAP experience or a general understanding of SAP
You have proven analytical skills through data modeling, SQL, system design, etc.
You are eager to grow your knowledge, learn new skills, and have a positive attitude when working with your team and the client
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
You have software testing or Quality Assurance experience
You have previous experience working in the retail industry or working with retail clients
Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
