Patriot Forge Co. Hiring for Machinist at Brantford, ON Full Time

Patriot Forge Co. supplies carbon, alloy and stainless steel forgings with heat treatment, machining and testing.

Through continual upgrades, Patriot Forge has been able to enhance our manufacturing capabilities to better serve the needs of our ever evolving customer base.

We are currently recruiting for CNC and Manual Machinists to join our team! Brantford or Paris locations.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate equipment using manual or CNC controls
• Calibrate tools and tool offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Machine product to specified requirements as defined in shop orders
• Maintain equipment in a safe and productive condition
• Shovel chips generated by machine
• Maintain measuring equipment in proper working condition
• Perform additional responsibilities as required
• Rotating days/afternoon shift

Experience/Skills/Education:

• High School diploma
• Post secondary education related to machining an asset
• Manual “G” programming at machine-tool
• Good knowledge of cutting tools as well as feeds and speeds
• Familiarity with material handling equipment (overhead cranes and forklifts) and the safe handling of large objects
• Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills
