An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Assistant to join the University’s Human Resources Department.
The HR Assistant will support a dedicated portfolio of academic and professional departments within the University, including the Faculty of Education, English and Sport, Office of the Vice Chancellor, Finance, Marketing, ICT, our beautiful events venue at Putteridge Bury and our Research and Innovation Services department.
The post holder will be responsible for all administration relating to the employment lifecycle of employees and visiting staff. This will include dealing with end-to-end recruitment along with generalist and transactional HR requirements and supporting Employee Relations issues.
The post holder will support the updating and management of the HR MI system in a timely manner to ensure that data is accurate and up to date and will be expected to develop a good working knowledge of systems and processes in order to facilitate improvements.
We are looking for applicants with excellent administration skills and experience, in particular covering the MS Office suite, with an eye for detail who thrive on handling a busy and varied workload. An interest in working in HR and pursuing a career in this area are key, as someone who shares our understanding of the vital importance of effective administrative work.
