The Department of Student & Academic Administration (DSAA) is one of the largest central services at the University and is core to its success. The Department is responsible for a diverse and wide-ranging set of critical administrative responsibilities and services across the institution, and these include: student and course management systems, timetabling, admissions, student and programme administration, academic administration, graduation, external returns and data standards, UKVI student compliance, academic standards, quality management, and partnerships.

This is an exciting time to be joining the DSAA, and the Academic Registrar is seeking an outstanding candidate to lead the Department’s Student Operations section.

Under the direction of the Academic Registrar and Director of Student & Academic Administration, the Head of Student Operations will manage and provide strategic leadership of the Section, ensuring it achieves its objectives in order to support the Department’s strategy while providing an excellent customer experience. They will act as the institutional expert and recognised authority on matters and issues within the University relating to the Student Operations remit, and they will actively contribute to, and assist with, the strategic development of the DSAA. In the absence of the Academic Registrar and Director, and the Deputy Director, and with the other Heads, the post holder will act as a deputy for the Academic Registrar and Director when required.

A great student experience, and excellent customer service to stakeholders, is core to what we do, and the Student Operations section is key in delivering this.
