Job Summary

The Cost Accountant is a key member of the finance team supporting the manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for providing cost and inventory control expertise. Focusing on analysis and interpretation of data to optimize financial performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining standard cost system: ensuring accuracy of bill of materials, yearly cost roll, analysis of standards vs actuals, and material setup.
• Assumes leadership role of cycle count program and physical inventory to support accurate valuation of inventories.
• Assists in month end financial closing process.
• Ensures accurate and timely daily production reporting, preparation of weekly financial updates, and providing financial performance results of plant operations.
• Supports the Controller in the planning and accomplishment of annual plant budget requirements.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.

· 4+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Proficiency in SAP is preferred.

· Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing

· Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel

· Possesses professional written and verbal communication skills.

· Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Can work independently and multi-task in fast paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,435.00 – $80,000.00 per year
