About the Role

Does the idea of managing a team who builds software systems to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of a platform at a fast-growing, late stage start-up sound like your jam? We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our Software Engineering Quality team under our Engineering department. Using your servant leadership skills and collaborative spirit, you will manage and support our Software Quality Analysts and Engineers as they help create the tools we use to fulfill our mission of making the world a healthier place, one person at a time. In this position, you will report directly to our Director, Software Engineering Quality.

Why We Need You

• Directly manage Quality Analysts and Software Engineers to help them be as effective as possible and continue to grow in their roles
• Participate in the refinement of requirements and the design of technology solutions
• Drive our Software Quality practice, focused on building software systems that ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our platform
• Partner with the Engineering leadership team to recruit and build a top tier software quality team
• Champion engineering practices based on Agile principles
• Support your team in finding creative solutions and apply critical thinking when solving challenges
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proven history of building and growing teams, actively coaching and mentoring team members in their careers
• Professional proficiency as a Quality Analyst or Software Engineer in Test
• Experience writing automated unit and integration tests
• Track record in partnering with recruiting partners to build quality teams
• Harnesses a continuous delivery mindset
• Strong communication and collaboration skills the enable you to partner and collaborate with individuals at all the levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical
• An entrepreneurial spirit where you thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments while embracing change to drive the product forward
