The Opportunity

The Digital Media Group of OpenText’s Digital Experience division is a software development organization that provides Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions that serve as the foundation for customer-centric organizations. Everyone wants more rich media, images and video to engage their staff, partners and their customers. Our solution is a leading, innovative enterprise-class DAM that optimizes the management, use and distribution of rich media assets (images, designs, video, audio, 3D) at scale across the digital ecosystem (partners, customers, staff, agencies). Through best-in-class enterprise-level search, usability, security, scalability and TCO, we support millions of assets, petabytes of storage, and thousands of users, while optimizing operations, risk, integrations and cost.

We are looking for talented, experienced software engineers to join the OpenText DAM Product Development organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly support our product and our customers by innovating on new ideas and methods, addressing customer issues and feature requests. You will be a senior member of the DAM leadership team and part of a scrum team from design and development through to delivery. In this role, you will work closely with QA, Documentation, and product management as well as other scrum teams. You will mentor junior members of the team as well as collaborate with other groups within OpenText on best practices and techniques. You are great at:
Being passionate about software development at all levels: architecture, design, implementation, test, and deployment.

Full-stack development using Java and UX frameworks such as React.

Communication both written and oral as well as communicating with software engineers and product managers globally.

Delivering high-quality software that is scalable, high-performing, and secure.

Decomposing work into tasks that can be completed in days rather than weeks or months as a part of Scrum’s framework.

Moving products from an idea through feature request analysis, design, development, and test, and then into a production environment.

Adopting new technologies and innovating on concepts.

Reviewed code of other software developers

Mentoring junior software developers as well as interns

What it takes:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems or related fields.

Minimum of 15 years of experience developing enterprise-class product solutions.

Experience being a technical leader and innovator for a team.

Experience with UX technologies such as React and RESTful APIs.

Minimum of 10 years working with Java.

Extensive expertise in JAVA and application servers including JBOSS and TomEE.

Minimum of 10 years working with databases such SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm in multiple cloud providers is a plus.

Experience with delivering products as on-premise, single-tenant and as a SaaS offering

Experience with CI/CD automation and tools such as TeamCity and Jenkins.

Proven history of building enterprise software products with a focus on performance, scaling, high availability, and security
