Osmose is currently seeking a Software Engineer – Remote to help build robust integrations and internal customizations to third party Enterprise Systems used across our various business units including Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal and HR. This role is key to help scale our organization and improve our business processes.

Osmose builds our integrations and internal customizations using a variety of technologies including: SQL Server Enterprise and .Net, internal customization scripting languages that requires knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web Application Frameworks.

Not only will you be building custom web applications and data integrations across applications, most importantly you will be automating workflows across the application environments to allow us to vastly improve our productivity and efficiency.

We are looking for engineers that understand that simplicity and reliability are key attributes that drive long term maintainability. Understanding how short term decision making impacts the application over its entire lifecycle is key to success with our team.

This Position can be remote. Preference will be given to job candidates that can work out of our Depew, NY, Peachtree City, GA, Atlanta-Midtown, GA offices or candidates that are on the East Coast.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other teams across Osmose to gather requirements.
• Come up to speed on 3rd party business systems and their API’s and internal scripting languages.
• Build a new integration, with documentation and tests to support our large-and-growing employee base.
• Whiteboard a fix to a business problem — and then make it happen.
• Collaborate with peers to write, review, or provide feedback on a technical design proposal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training as well as demonstrated work experience building integrations and customizations.
• Experience building enterprise grade integrations with an eye towards performance, scalability and security.
• Experience with web stack programming languages — e.g., C#.Net, MS SQLServer, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & TypeScript
• You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent web experience including.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
• Experience with DEV Ops and agile development; other enterprise applications such as NetSuite, ServiceNow and Box; Web Application Frameworks (Angular, Vue, React); and/or solid competency with SQL helpful.
