We currently have vacancy in our Financial Services team to help make Wollondilly an even better place, together. As the Management Accounting Team Leader, your day will consist of, but not be limited to:

• Managing, coordinating and execute the operations of the Management Accounting team, including employee engagement, resolving operational problems and contributing to the overall Financial Services Strategy.
• Lead the monthly review of performance against budget, and coordinate management reporting of results, including the Quarterly Budget Review ensuring compliance with Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) requirements.
• Lead the preparation and review of Council’s Annual Budget and Long Term Financial Plan.
• Provide financial analysis, information and support the preparation of high quality financial and statutory reporting as required by Council.
• Coordinate existing financial systems, design, develop and implement enhancements.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

• Demonstrated extensive experience in leading a team of professionals to coordinate budgeting processes across a multidisciplinary workforce, including the application of accounting principles and the continuous improvement of financial information systems.
• Degree qualifications in Accounting or deemed equivalent and a current drivers licence.
• Commenced or willing to commit to attaining professional designation (CPA/CA)?
