We are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our in-house Finance team. Are you ambitious and someone who is great at dealing with people? Do you aspire to become a key member of our Accounts team?
This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to begin a career in Accountancy. We will support you in building a solid understanding of everything from Advanced Bookkeeping and Management Accounting to Spreadsheets for Accounting and Indirect Tax, giving you the essential skills required to pursue a future career in Accountancy.
Duties and responsibilities:
This challenging and exciting opportunity involve the following:

• Preparing management accounts
• Daily Cash and Bank Reconciliation and transactional posting (Purchase Ledger and GL)
• Bank Payments administration
• Inter-company account reconciliation
• Production of Management Accounts
• Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Assist with production of Statutory Accounts.
• Prepare for annual external Audit and answering Auditor queries in a timely manner
• Supporting the team with improving finance reports and processes.
• Weekly payroll and credit card expense analysis
• Head office cost control analysis
• Ad-hoc duties assisting finance team as required

Essential Skills

• AAT or Degree qualification (at least a 2:2 honours degree in any discipline)
• GCSE English Language and Maths (or equivalent) at a minimum of grade 5
• Experience is not required but recommended
• Ideally confident in using Excel (ie Pivots & Lookups etc)
• Confident in building strong relationships
• A professional approach, good communication skills and being highly motivated, ambitious and keen to learn.
• An enthusiasm for business and finance
• Good interpersonal and organisational skills
• Diligent and comfortable and experienced in working to meet deadlines.
