Private Label Staff Hiring for Educational Video Editor at Austin, TX Full Time

You will be asked to submit a sample of past work. Sample should exhibit an ability to engage learners around content. This can be a professional piece or a college level project.

You will work as part of a team including a Project Manager, a Media Lead, Writers, Graphic Artists and Voice Talent who collaborate regularly but also work independently to meet weekly deadlines. It will be your responsibility to ensure videos are engaging, creative, and built according to specifications set forth by clients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working in Powtoon to create unique, captivating pieces.
• Following directions in a storyboard but going the extra mile to enhance the visual experience.
• Incorporating audio tracks from multiple voice talents into the videos.
• Identifying and placing sound effects in pieces to enhance viewer experience.
• Adding your own creative touches to each asset with the primary goal of delighting the learner.
• Willingness to learn Powtoon with paid training and support.
• Attending all internal meetings scheduled to support media design.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor in appearance and verbal/written communication in all interactions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in film, video production, or a related field.
• Six months to three years of experience as a Video Editor.
• Creative thinker who puts story first and genuinely wants to delight learners.
• A passion for generating creative ideas about the visual approach to storytelling.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
• An interest in working with producers, voice talent, graphic artists, and writers as part of a team.
